A simple, inexpensive test that can be performed to test the level of CRP (C-Reactive Protein) in the blood. An elevated level of CRP can be a marker for infection and inflammation. It can also provide  useful information for patients that have exhibited little or no symptoms, thus alerting medical professionals that further testing and treatment may be necessary.
